At Excel Construction Group, we offer 2 different solutions to your Pier and Beam Foundation Failure, the Enforced Cylinder Technique, and the Pad and Block System. The Forced Cylinder technique consists of a cylinder tied into a pad block with #3 re-bar. The block is set approximately 24″ into the ground. Then, Steel shims are used between the cylinder and the Support Beams of your home to stabilize and level your home. This system is typically used around the exterior beam of your home when cylinders cannot be pushed due to structural integrity.
The second pier we use at Excel Construction Group is the Pad and Block system. This system uses a “Pyramid” shaped process to distribute the weight of the home outwards as the blocks get larger. This process is typically used on the interior of your home to insure proper stabilization.
